NCAA Approved!

NCAA Approved Courses at Pacific Learning Academy

Pacific Learning Academy is now NCAA Approved!

Busy student athletes looking to enhance their academic experience AND work around their sports schedules can now find convenience and academic rigor locally with one-on-one instruction and district-aligned curriculum.

In addition to being WA State Approved and Accredited (NWAC/AdvancED), credits earned at Pacific Learning Academy now also count toward student-athlete NCAA initial eligibility in core courses plus foreign language. As with all other students, NCAA students may start a course any time of year on a schedule that works around training 4354and practice. Pacific Learning Academy also works with students who may need to accelerate their course to meet NCAA deadlines.

Pacific Learning Academy getting NCAA approval was a game changer for our family. Their ability to customize classes and delivery methods specific to a student will change the lives of NCAA bound athletes who struggle with traditional class styles,” says Will Moore, a PLA parent whose son has received a full Division 1 athletic scholarship.

We love opening options for the many students who plan on playing Division I or II sports in college,” states Kirsten O’Malley, Founder & Executive Director, Pacific Learning Academy. “We are so thrilled to offer NCAA-approved individual courses or full-time private school to local eastside families.

NCAA schools require college-bound student-athletes to build a foundation of high school courses to prepare them for college coursework. Students who plan to compete in NCAA sports at Division I or II schools must pass a minimum number of NCAA core courses (14-16), reach a required GPA in those courses, and reach standards on their SAT or ACT.

Pacific Learning Academy is a one-on-one school offering single courses and dual enrollment, as well as full-time middle and high school. We also offer tutoring in all subjects from 6th to 12th grade, including test prep, either in-home or local libraries across the Eastside (Issaquah, Sammamish, etc…).
