Newly designed SAT/ACT Diagnostic Exam now available

The new SAT is right around the corner! The College Board is implementing many changes to the exam starting in March of 2016. If your child is planning on taking either the SAT or the ACT after this date, now is a good time to start thinking about preparation. Our newly designed SAT-ACT diagnostic comparison exam is a good preview of how the SAT has changed and can help you decide which exam is best to show off your child’s strengths. Some of the changes to the SAT are designed to make the exam more similar to the ACT, such as removing the infamous “guessing penalty.” Other alterations make the SAT even more unique. A few of them include:

  • No more fill-in-the-blank vocabulary sections
  • Evidence based reading questions
  • A math section that must be completed without a calculator

There is no better way to know and prepare for all of the changes than working through official sections of the new SAT. Our diagnostic exam provides students with a peek into the differing styles of the two exams, and pinpoints the exact topics to tackle via self-study, group study, or 1-on-1 tutoring with a test prep tutor. After taking the diagnostic exam, you will be provided with an in-depth, 9-page analysis and a recommendation for which exam your child should take. You will also talk with one of our experts to help interpret the results and answer any questions you may have. Let Pacific Learning Academy help your family make this important decision without needing to sit through two full-length exams!
