During the summer season, families typically see us between 10 and 4pm (Mon-Thurs) or during weekends. Your schedule stays the same every week. You need to be available for at least 3 weekdays to fit our scheduling needs. There is ample opportunity for summer work for tutors joining us during the school year. Successful tutors are always welcome to rejoin the team the following fall.

We do not offer online instruction. All lessons are held in Issaquah and Sammamish homes and libraries. We do have families from Redmond/Bellevue/Snoqualmie who travel to meet their instructors in the Issaquah/Sammamish area. On rare occasions, Academy instructors will travel to these towns for lessons, as long as it’s convenient for the instructor.

Working in students’ homes (with an adult in the house), local library or other public place. Driving between lessons unless they are the library.

Necessary travel:

About half our tutoring is done in homes. You need reliable transportation and will drive between lessons. [Pacific Learning Academy compensates for drive time!]
