Receptionist Application

Welcome to the Academy!

Thank you for your interest in working with Pacific Learning Academy!
The afternoon receptionist position is crucial to the smooth functioning of our Sammamish school office. While many of our lessons are conducted in family homes or remotely, the Academy school office has teaching rooms, a small library, and a comfortable area for instructors to rest and recharge before heading to their next lesson. As the office air traffic controller, you will be the person who welcomes our team and clients, and also the person who coordinates their stay!

The right candidate for this position will be interested in a long-term relationship with the Academy and can be flexible as we continue to grow, including early evening hours as needed. We’ve also found that applicants who pride themselves on their impeccable written work will be happier here as much of the position involves written customer service communications.

Our hiring process begins with a review of applications. Selected candidates will be contacted within 6 business days with an invitation to speak by phone with an Academy staff member and may be asked to complete a short skills assessment.

  • Our school office is open Monday through Thursday. The Receptionist will be job sharing with the School Admin Assistant and will cover the front desk and phones from approximately 2pm until 5 or 7pm (depending on the day).

  • At the start of our lesson today Betty told me she was afrad of her new Teacher. She said Mrs Johnson seamed nice at first but she had to many rules for the class to folow. After talking for awhile Betty agreed the rules are their for a reason and she would concentrate more on improving her homework completion sucess rate! I think the affect of being in a mainstream class this year is making her a bit nervous. By the end of the class we wrapped up chapter 2 in her english poetry text. Between you and I she's going to do great and she'll get used to the homework. Doing homework is required, in several of her courses, such as math, english and history.
