Community Connections

Pacific Learning Academy is teacher-owned and a wholly local educational service. We support a number of non-profit organizations that are aligned with our educational and philanthropic philosophy of giving parents more choices and opening up more doors to students.

Issaquah Schools Foundation

Our founder, Kirsten O’Malley, has been on the board since 2007 and is a major donor. We love that Academy dollars support free after-school tutoring at every high school, mentorship programs, PSAT scholarships, teacher training, curriculum updates, STEM teachers, and much, much more!

Lake Washington and Snoqualmie Schools Foundations

Many of our students attend schools in the Lake Washington and Snoqualmie School Districts. We love supporting these two non-profit foundations and applaud all the positive work they do for their students! Learn more: www.lwsf.org & www.svsfoundation.org

Boys & Girls Club

The Academy was so excited to see the Boys & Girls Club move in to the old Sammamish Library. We’ve participated in their annual fundraising 5k (as a runner and t-shirt sponsor) and love their mission. Learn more: Sammamish Boys & Girl Club

Hopelink

Hopelink does not have a direct tie to any of the local school districts, but their philosophy of meeting people where they are at and helping them jump hurdles to get to their goals aligns with our feelings in education. They provide rent assistance, a food bank, job training, and housing for families living on the edge. Learn more: www.hopelink.org.

Seattle Theatre Group AileyCamp

AileyCamp offers a free six-week camp for youth ages 11 – 14, using the power of dance and personal development to enhance and positively alter the lives of middle school youth. Pacific Learning Academy provided a scholarship for a student to attend the camp. Learn more: Seattle Theatre Group AileyCamp
