Looking for Community Service Hours?

Many high school students need to complete a certain number of community service hours as a part of their coursework. There are times when finding those opportunities can be a challenge. As spring and the end of the school year draw near, we’d like to alert you to a local opportunity that will fulfill community service requirements AND feed students!

The Sammamish Farmers Market opens May 21st and will run every Wednesday until October 1st from 4pm to 8pm at the Sammamish Commons. Students (or adults!) are encouraged to come help set up the booths for the market on Wednesdays between 3pm and 4pm. If a student is involved in after school activities and can’t make this window of time, the organizers of the market would also appreciate some manpower between 7:45-8:45pm to tear down the booths and clean up after the market.

For more information, check out the Sammamish Farmer’s Market or email Deb Sogge.

As a bonus for volunteers, McDonald’s will be giving away coupons for meals at the Sammamish location!
